This is an antique sideboard, also known as a buffet or server, crafted from stunning figured mahogany wood. The piece features a rich, reddish-brown finish that highlights the unique swirling grain patterns characteristic of figured mahogany. The design elements, including the substantial scrolled supports on the sides and the rounded drawer fronts, suggest an Empire or Federal style, typical of early 19th-century American or European furniture.
The sideboard is equipped with a total of four drawers across the top, two featuring wooden knob handles and two with keyhole escutcheons, providing ample storage for smaller items. Below the drawers, there are four cabinet doors, each with its own keyhole, opening to reveal interior storage space. A large rectangular mirror is integrated into the design, resting on the top surface, adding to the grandeur and functionality of the piece. This listing includes the complete sideboard cabinet with its integrated mirror, as pictured.
